Environmental Policy
Huon Logistics is commited to this:
• By providing the environmental systems that are required for the identification, classification, assessment and review of all issues relating to PNG Environment Act
2000.
• By having positive communication in the delivering of the aims and purpose of our policy to our employees, contractors and visitors to ensure that their obligations for safe work practices are undertaken in the workplace.
• By training our employees, contractors, and visitors in the aims and purpose of the Huon Logistics Environmental Policy so as that they are aware of their obligations,
standards and requirements of the company.
• By developing the foresight of individuals to adopt the highest environmental standards to protect themselves, others and the environment within and outside the workplace.
• By providing a work place that meets or exceeds the relevant PNG statutory legislation, industry guidelines.
• By influencing our clients, suppliers and the community with our approach towards responsible and sustainable environmental practices.
• By improving continually our operations, providing and supporting training, constant monitoring and reviewing of the effectiveness of the Environment Management System (EMS).
• By having a plant maintenance system that ensures our fleet of plant and equipment is of a high standard. This will preserve the environment and reduce the impacts of poorly maintained machinery.
