Health and Safety Policy
Huon Logistics will participate in the creation of a Zero Harm Work Culture:
• By providing the safety systems that are required for the identification, classification, assessment and review of all issues in accordance with ISO 45001: 2018.
• By having positive communication in the delivering of the aims and purpose of our policy to our employees, contractors and visitors to ensure that their obligations for safe work practices are undertaken in the workplace.
• By training our employees, contractors, and visitors in the aims and purpose of the Huon Logistics Health and Safety Policy so as that they are aware of their obligations for health and safety standards and requirements of the company.
• By developing the foresight of individuals to adopt the highest standards in safety to protect themselves and others in the workplace.
• By providing a work place that also meets the relevant PNG statutory legislation, industry guidelines.
• By improving continually our services, providing and supporting training, constant monitoring and reviewing of the effectiveness of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• By conducting regular pre start meetings;
• By conducting fortnightly Health and Safety Toolbox talks;
• By conducting a Lessons Learnt Toolbox fortnightly.
